Submission Guidelines

Abstracts

Deadline for abstract submission was the 5 April 2017

Contributed presentations (oral presentations as well as posters) are welcome in any area covered by the conference’s scientific topics. Persons who would like to apply for a special discount on the conference fee should also submit their abstract via the submission system. Please note that only one oral presentation per delegate, including invited and contributed talks, will be accepted.

The abstract should be submitted via the abstract submission system. It should be written in plain text and have a length of maximum 250 words. Tables, figures and reference lists are not allowed in the abstract. If the contribution is part of an accepted topic-contributed session, the session code must be included.

The Scientific Programme Committee will review all submitted abstracts and notification of acceptance will be given by 15 May 2017.

If the abstract has been accepted, an abstract number will be assigned, which should be given as a reference when making any inquiries pertaining to the abstract. Accepted abstracts will be published online.

All correspondence regarding the abstracts will be sent to the submitting author. The authors will be informed as to whether or not the paper has been accepted for an oral or poster presentation.

Please note that presenters of abstracts must register for the conference before the early bird deadline, 31 May 2017, to be included in the final programme.

Topic-contributed Sessions (90 minutes)

The extended deadline for submission of topic-contributed session proposals was the 21 February 2017.

Proposals from any area covered by the conference’s scientific topics are welcome. The proposal should be submitted via the topic-contributed session proposal system. It should be prepared as a PDF document and include the following minimal information:

The Scientific Programme Committee will evaluate all submitted proposals and notification of acceptance will be given by 28 February 2017.

If a topic-contributed session proposal has been accepted, a session code will be assigned, which should be given as a reference when making any inquiries pertaining to the session.

Individual presenters may give only one oral presentation at the conference (otherwise the scientific program committee has to be contacted to decide on a case-by-case basis). Therefore please check with potential presenters for a topic-contributed session if they have been involved in other proposals already.

Once the proposal has been accepted, the potential speakers will be invited by the SPC to give their talks at the conference. However, please note that this invitation does NOT comprise any financial benefits (e.g., neither travel cost reimbursement nor conference fee waiver). The session organiser is responsible for providing the correct e-mail addresses already in the proposal.

The tentative speakers of an accepted topic-contributed session must submit their abstracts, with reference to their assigned session code, via the abstract submission system before 31 March 2017. Session organisers and speakers must register for the conference before the early bird deadline, 31 May 2017, to be included in the final programme.
